#1. Making Money as a Freelancer
When I was starting out, I was so damn broke and couldn’t afford to a dime to invest. All I had then was a Blackberry phone and my dad’s desktop computer. So, I had to settle for freelancing. That time, Fiverr was actually dominating the industry. Whatever I have today, I have to thank Fiverr because it was where I did my first $100, $1,000 and even $10,000 on the internet.
Just in case you’re wondering what Freelancing means; it has to do with selling your skills or providing services to people for some bucks. Services like Article writing, graphics designing, website designing, video making, book formatting, seo services, all comes to mind.
There are several platforms online that gives you the chance to find people in need of these services. Fiverr used to be the best freelancing websites for starters but it’s a bit complicated these days. I think Upwork is the golden platform at the moment. There are other platforms you could check out – some of them includes; Freelancer, Konker, seoclerk, etc.

One of the real ways to make money online in Nigeria is through ecommerce. Ecommerce has to do with selling of digital products using the internet. You can get these products by importing them from abroad, or you can source for them locally. But the selling is done using online platforms like Facebook (free and paid), Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp, etc. You can even partner with big players like Jumia and Konga and you can as well create your very own website.
Ecommerce is one of the best business models that thrive really well in Nigeria. And it’s one of my main businesses as of today.

#3. Making money as an Online Information Marketing Expert
Just like ecommerce, this model also involved selling of products using the internet. Only this time we are selling information based and digital products. It is easier than ecommerce because here you only have to create a single product and sell the heck out of it. You don’t have to keep restocking and all that. It requires just that effort you put into creating it in the first place.
There are many things you could create information products about. It can be about how to make money, how to get girls, how to easily conceive a child, how to play guitar, how to cook a type to food, and so on and so forth. The list is simply endless.
Such information can be packaged into a PDF (eBook), Audio, Video or even sold through a Seminar.
If you have no idea at all, you can go to a PLR website like The PLR Store and buy a good Private Label Right Course which you can then legally slap your name on as the author. That’s just quick way to get started with this.
#4. Making Money With Email Marketing / List building
This is one of the ways to make consistent cash flow online. If you can take your time to build a list, you can make money from that list for a lot of years to come. And I am not kidding you because this is exactly one of the ways I make money myself every day. By having your own list, you have provided yourself with an endless make money opportunity. You can sell your own product, promote an affiliate product or even charge people to send their emails to your list (a.k.a Solo Ads).

#5. Making Money From Blogging
As old as blogging may sound, it is still one of the most popular ways people make money on the internet today. It involves creating a blog like incomescope.com and writing basically on topics you are passionate about. You can even create a gist blog; something like what LindaIkeji.com is doing.
If you are just starting out and you’re not sure, you can create your first blog with Blogger.com (Linda Ikeji is still on the blogger platform after over a decade). But if you are serious and have the money I will advise you go with your very own WordPress site.
If you are using the Stellar plan on Namecheap, you will be spending less than $30 to get the hosting and domain name and you will be able to install WordPress for free using their control panel.
There are several ways you can make money from your blog. You can register with Google Adsense or maybe .Also, you can try to promote products relating to your niche through banners or write reviews about them.
#.6 Building Niche Websites to Make Money
Niche websites have some similarities with blogging but they are operated a little bit differently. While you have to constantly update a blog site with articles (blog posts), niche websites may require no such effort. For a niche website, you write articles targeting specific keyword(s) to rank for on Google and other search engines. You then try to maintain these ranks overtime to keep earning from such articles.
On niche websites, you don’t just write (post) articles because it’s your passion, you do so because such articles can help you rank on Google for specific keyword(s).
In creating these websites, most of them time the monetization method is the first thing that comes to mind. There are a lot of ways to monetize a niche website but the most popular one is review site for Amazon or ClickBank. Another good one is Google Adsense.
While I’ve seen several websites reviewing ClickBank products, I’ve never tried it myself. But as for Amazon, it’s one of the things I’m doing at the moment. And you can download this guide to learn how it works.
#.7 How to Make Money from Domain Flipping Business
Domain flipping involves buying a valuable domain name for as low as $10 and reselling such domain name for as much as several thousands of dollars. Some years ago, Hotels.com sold for $11m. Brandable domain names like that a very valuable, if you can find them first. In 2011, Apple bought the iCloud.com domain name for $5.2m. Around that period, people sold sever “cloud” related domain names for a lot of money.
The key is looking for domain name with hot keywords (high Google searches and high Adwords CPC) or something that looked brandable (like Konga, Jumia, dealdey, eBay, etc) or a good expired domain name with high DA (Domain authority).
The good thing about domain flipping is, you don’t even have to do anything with the domain name, and you don’t have to host it at all. Just buy, list it on the selling platforms and wait till someone comes for it. And if it is a domain name that is getting traffic, you park and earn some cash before the flipping happens.
If this looked like something you want to do, you can go through this guide or just comment below and I will reach out to you to link you with someone I know who is killing it in the industry.
#. 8 Website Flipping Business Idea.
Just like domain flipping, this involves selling your website to someone else. Only this time, you are not just selling the domain name but the entire website contents and the copyright.
The easiest types of websites to sell are the blogs and niche website explained in the No5 and 6 respectively. But before anyone could buy your website, they will most likely want to see that the website has been profitable for some time. Usually, it is advised you have at least a consistent six month earnings from your website before putting it up for sale.
If you go to Flippa.com, you will be able to see many other websites being listed for sale. This is actually a good way to earn quick big bucks on your website project and move to another one.
By the way, Flippa.com is the best place to sell such websites and they have guide on how to do that. So check them out anytime you have such business to do.
#.9 How to Make Money With Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing has already appeared a few times in the article but it is actually worth discussing the online business model on its own. This business model basically has to do with promoting other people’s products or services for commission.
You can use the email marketing, niche website or blogging approach up there. And you can partner with the likes of ClickBank, Amazon Affiliates or Jvzoo. If you are targeting a Nigerian audience, you can try out Expertnaire. Although, it will cost you N10,000 per year to be a member but you will have enough digital products by Nigerians to promote.
If you are looking to work with JVzoo and/or Warrior Plus, I created a guide last year for the foreign guys. Click Here to check it out.
